Technical information about this website's accessibility

Learn Academies Trust is committed to making its school websites accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Primary and secondary schools are partially exempt from the accessibility regulations, except for content that people need in order to use their services. We also have duties under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Some older PDF and Microsoft Office documents may not be fully accessible to screen-reader users because they may not contain document tags, correctly structured headings, table headers, a logical reading order or text alternatives for images. These issues may fail WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.1.1 (non-text content), 1.3.1 (information and relationships) and 2.4.2 (page titled).

We are reviewing documents that people need in order to use school services. We will replace or remediate essential documents when they are updated and will provide an accessible alternative on request.

Disproportionate burden

We are not currently claiming that fixing any known accessibility problem would be a disproportionate burden.

Content that is not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

Primary and secondary school website content that does not relate to essential online administrative functions may be outside the scope of the accessibility regulations. We nevertheless aim to make all school website content accessible.

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they are not essential to providing our services. Any document needed to access a school service will be made accessible or provided in an accessible alternative format on request.

Live audio and video are exempt from the accessibility regulations. Maps are also exempt, but essential information such as the school's address and contact details is provided as text. Third-party content that is not funded, developed by or under the control of the school or Learn Academies Trust may also be exempt.

What we are doing to improve accessibility

We review new and updated web content and documents for accessibility and prioritise content that people need to use school services. We work with our website provider, Juniper Websites, to address issues affecting the shared website platform. We will update this statement when new accessibility problems are identified, when significant changes are made to the website or when issues are resolved.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 1 September 2026. It was last reviewed on 1 September 2026.

The shared school website platform was last tested in January 2025 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. The test was carried out by Juniper Websites. Learn Academies Trust reviewed the common platform, representative school website content and the accuracy of this statement in September 2026.

This statement will be reviewed at least once a year and after any substantial change to the website. The next review is due by 1 September 2027.
