Footsteps – C&I Enhanced Resource Base
Footsteps is a Local Authority commissioned Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for children with communication and interaction needs. We provide a nurturing, highly supportive learning environment where every child is valued, understood, and enabled to achieve their full potential.
Footsteps is a 30-place provision designed for children who require specialist teaching approaches, structured support, and a curriculum tailored to their individual strengths and needs.
Who Accesses Footsteps?
All pupils attending Footsteps have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) which identifies communication and interaction as their primary area of need.
Admissions to Footsteps are managed through the Special Educational Needs Assessment (SENA) Service. Placement decisions are made by the Local Authority through the statutory EHCP process.
