Music Curriculum
At All Saints we follow the Leicestershire music scheme. This is a whole school approach to music, that ensures high-quality, cohesive, progressive lessons.
Each term we focus on a different element of music; pulse, voice, rhythm, pitch, Technology, Structure & Form and 20th Century Music.
As well as high quality weekly lessons we are also lucky enough to be part of the whole school instrument tuition programme, provided by Leicestershire music specialist teachers. Last academic year classes were taught drumming skills. This academic year we are excited to welcome Matt, who teaches classes how to play brass instruments.
The school also offers guitar lessons through a specialist teacher, who comes in once a week.
Music also plays a big part of our collective worship, including hymn practise each week. During Hymn practise the children are taught singing skills as well as learning songs to perform for events. We are currently learning songs to perform at All Saints Church for our harvest festival then we will be learning songs for christmas.
We also offer a Makaton singing and signing club which learn songs to perform in collective worship and for special occasions.
